Os R.E.M. vão lançar, a 12 de Setembro, uma antologia de temas da sua primeira etapa de vida, assim como um DVD com telediscos e actuações televisivas dessa mesma época. A compilação terá por título And I Feel Fine... The Best of the I.R.S. Years 1982-1987, e sera editada em duas versões, uma delas um CD simples com 21 temas fundamentais desse período. A outra será um dual CD no qual, aos mesmos 21 temas se acrescenta uma série de inéditos, raridades, takes alternativos, gravações ao vivo e misturas diferentes, edição que contará com liner notes mais exustivas. A acompanhar o disco será editado, em separado, um DVD When the Light Is Mine... The Best of the I.R.S. Years 1982-1987, no qual se reúnem os telediscos, performances em televisão, entrevistas e algumas outras raridades desta etapa.
